Synod Presentations: Social Action

At our Joint Synod on 2 September we were involved in workshop presentations on the following issues: Housing and Homelessness -Councillor Beth Knowles (Greater Manchester Combined Authority) Hate Crime- Ian Rutherford (Methodist Central Hall, Manchester) Living Wage- Lynn Sbaih (GM Living Wage Campaign) Health and Social Care - Conor McGurran and Rachel Doyle (Unison) These four issues were chosen because they are the four social action campaigns which were initiated by Greater Manchester Citizens at the Launch Event and Mayoral Assembly on 1 May 2017 at The Lowry Theatre in Salford. If you would like to be involved in any of the four campaigns with GM Citizens or would like to know more about how you or your congregation might contribute to help address the matters which were discussed at Synod please contact Rev. Ian Rutherford, the City Centre Minister at Methodist Central Hall, Manchester on ianr7@hotmail.co.uk
